I feel like every time I look out my front window there's another truck pulling in; electricians, drywall, material deliveries... the studio is on it's way! My next task is to insulate the ceiling, then we will put up the pine on the ceiling (the entire room will be natural shiplap pine) so Jim Craig from Craig Electric can come in and install the lights. We've scheduled Nate Kimball from Valley Excavating will come and dig a trench for the underground power, and Eversource to come hook it up. After insulation and pine, lighting fixtures, and some finish work (window trim, building cubbies, cleaning, etc.) I will be ready to host my first class! My goal is to be open and teaching in eight weeks. There may not be shingles on the roof or siding on the building by then, but the interior will be completely finished and ready for yoga students! Here's some pictures of the framed space (isn't the natural light gorgeous?!) and the lighting fixture I ordered.
Here's a time lapse video of us working on the insulation last weekend. Need to make sure this space is toasty warm for classes next winter!
