I have done almost nothing else the past several days other than work on this space, and it is finally done! Yesterday I painted the floor, and today I washed all of the windows and "moved in." It is beautiful, there's lots of space, and the air is lovely with all of the windows open and that breeze coming across the fields and through the trees. The light is golden up here, and the view from all four sides of the building is lovely and green; so peaceful.
I made sure to install some hooks for bags and jackets, bring in a well-stocked first aid and "necessities" basket, and I even have spare water bottles, mats, straps, and cushions for loan, in case you want to try a class before buying your own supplies. I have a couple of brand new mats for sale as well. The studio has a Bluetooth speaker system for music, an essential oil diffuser for aroma, and I made sure to bring in some plants and a large bouquet of cut flowers from my perennial beds, in an effort to appeal to all of the senses.
After I finished cleaning and moving in, I sat and meditated for a long time, envisioning all of the joy, love, and peace that will be created here. I burned incense, chanted my favorite mantra, and danced. I truly do feel that there is a special sense of tranquility, acceptance, and love in the studio; it was built with positive intentions every step of the way. This is a place where all are welcome, free from judgement or conflict, where you can leave your worries at the door and attend to your physical and mental wellness in a safe space.
